REMEDIAL TEACHING
PANKH’S Remedial Teaching Program in slums has gained momentum over the last few years. In the past 5 years, we have imparted literacy to more than 1000 kids under this Program. At the onset, they learn the 3 R’s – Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. After that they catch on with other Academic matters including English.
Our Program includes Distribution of White Boards, Books, Stationery, and Drawing Kits. Durries and Lighting fixture are also provided to the setup. Our Remedial Teaching through Evening Classes is carried out in batches of 25 and 50. Apart from providing, basic lessons, Hobby Classes in areas of Art, Craft and Yoga. General Knowledge are also imparted by way of globes and maps. Sometimes, it is a pleasure to find youngsters holding books and pencils for the first time in their life. The senior students of PANKH also exhibit a keen interest in Volunteering in this program.
